Green & White Belt
Angus has been training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu since 2019, bringing over 5 years of dedication and passion to the mats. As a green and white belt, he’s a familiar face around Arte Suave, always smiling and a fantastic role model for our younger students.
Outside of Jiu Jitsu, Angus is a water polo player, beach lover, and an aspiring pilot—his love for planes is matched only by his love for Jiu Jitsu!
Whether he’s rolling on the mats or diving into the ocean, Angus brings energy, focus, and a positive attitude to everything he does. His dream of flying high in the skies might be in the future, but for now, we’re lucky to have him grounded right here with us.

Great gym and friendly community. On my first day, I was a bit sceptical about BJJ rolling—it’s quite confronting, but after a couple of days that went away. My first rolls were with a brown belt who made sure I behaved appropriately and kept my ego in check 😅. It’s a lot of fun and keeps me fit. I’d recommend giving it a try.

Dropped in for open mat and don’t think I could’ve had a better time! Super friendly and laid back bunch of people and the owner was happy to answer any questions I had beforehand

Fantastic club near Brisbane CBD….As a second degree black belt it’s sometimes challenging to find somewhere with a great depth of knowledge and high standard! Warm welcoming and tough roles, would highly recommend

Very welcoming club for training! Solid rolls🤜🫷Emanuela is the owner who always goes above and beyond to help and has created a great environment for BJJ students! 🙏Anker is a very patient and technically proficient coach. 🙏Uroš is a very approachable coach when it comes to BJJ (don't let his size scare you) and his BJJ literacy is exceptional! 🙏Great culture and good peeps. I feel very comfortable when I am the only lady there. The gents are very welcoming! 😎The facilities are great.Happy rolling!

Really nice gym, well organized, clean, and welcoming people. Emanuela (the owner) is very nice and welcoming. The gym is very well maintained and talented coaches. Definitely will train there again and highly recommended. Oooos 🙏🙏🥋🥋
